Famous European Companies Expand their Business in Shanghai

Casa Gi Boutique, a Belgian family owned business that designs and makes hand crafted luxury jewellery has recently set up its concept shop in Shanghai. In this concept shop, you can enjoy the culture and lifestyle as if you were in Belgium.

The Luxury Network (“TLN”), a world leading online platform from England located its business in Shanghai. TLN covers all areas of the top-end markets including: Marine, Finance, Motoring, Concierge, Health & Beauty, Aviation, Property, Travel, Golf, Events, Jewellery & Watches, Entertainment & Fashion etc.

Shell opened its China commercial centre in Shanghai on 3 June 2015 which sees the majority of its downstream businesses move to the country’s commercial hub. The businesses, now operating from the new centre, include lubricants, corporate sourcing, marine products, bitumen, sulphur and chemicals sales. Shell’s first training centre for Chinese distributors, Shell Shanghai University, also resides in the centre.

Shanghai Dongjin experts underscore the above example as an evidence that, although the global economic situation is not at its best, the famous foreign investors do not stop their expansions to the Chinese market and even enlarge their businesses in China. On the one hand, for the purpose of further opening the market to the world famous brand and encouraging them to set up their Asian center in China, the Chinese government makes the start-up procedure easier and easier. On the other hand, the consuming power of the Chinese is much stronger so that it is a good incentive for overseas high-rank consuming products to set up their subsidiary in China or at least have an online store.
